The First Tee of Shawnee County receives $7,500 from Best Buy
The Best Buy
national chain of consumer electronics stores recently recommended $1million in
"@15 and Community Grants" to benefit non-profit groups that empower
teens in local communities. Locally, Community Action Inc will be
receiving a grant for $7,500 towards The First Tee of Shawnee County.
Nationally, checks will be cut to 193 selected non-profit organizations.
"The Community Grant Campaign and @15 create the opportunity to grow our
business through the communities we serve," said Maureen Laminski, general
manager at store 835 in New York City.
"By serving, we provide an immediate return and provide for future and
continued growth."
