2011 SCHOLARSHIPS
Community Action, Inc. provides annual
scholarship opportunities to adults and graduating high school seniors seeking
financial assistance to support college, vocational-technical, or trade school
education ventures. The Board of Directors is responsible for determining
the number of scholarships that will be awarded each year. The number of
scholarships that will be awarded in 2011 has yet to be determined.
Applicants must demonstrate a financial
need and be residents of Clay, Dickinson, Geary, McPherson, Ottawa, Riley,
Saline, Shawnee, or Wabaunsee counties. Scholarship funds may be used for
expenses such as tuition, books, child care, and tools.
Copies of the application form and eligibility criteria can be obtained for the
2011 scholarship competition beginning May 1, 2010. The application
can be downloaded from this website (click on one of the links below) or can be
mailed or faxed by calling 785-235-9561 (toll free 866-235-9561).
